The Florida Atlantic Workforce Development Alliance is a collaboration between workforce development, education, economic development, and employers to collectively boost the talent pipeline needs in the sectors of IT/Cybersecurity, Aerospace/Aviation and Advanced Manufacturing. This alliance unites stakeholders in Flagler, Volusia, Brevard, Indian River, St. Lucie, and Martin Counties to collectively develop a sustainable pipeline of job ready candidates for the technical workforce within their respective service regions. Public outreach, jobseeker recruitment strategies, and awareness campaigns have been developed to enhance the engagement of Floridians in the many training and educational opportunities available in these critical sectors.
The funding provided from the Florida Atlantic Workforce Alliance grant allows for wrap around services for WIOA (Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act) eligible participants. This may include classroom training, work-based learning, apprenticeships, customized training, on the job training, and incumbent worker training.
